Things to do in Jamaica

There is a tremendous amount of things to do in Jamaica that will add to your overall holiday experience and within these you will find activities that are free, suitable for one of those rare bad weather days or are almost exclusive and a once in a lifetime experience.

Let’s start with the free and here we have to mention the fabulous beaches of Jamaica. The most famous, Seven Mile Beach in Negril located on the west coast, offers the largest stretch of sand in Jamaica and there is a lighthouse at the end of the beach and views to the majestic cliffs further around the shore. This beach is located close to many of the major hotels so you could well be calling this beach home.

If you are looking for beaches surrounded by tourist facilities then the beaches in Ocho Rios are great picks. Turtle Beach and Mallard Beach are both at the centre of it all.

To get into the spirit of Jamaica you could also visit Redbones Blues Cafe were Caribbean Fusion Cuisine meets live music, poetry and art gallery. The Bob Marley Centre and Memorial should be on your list of essential places to visit and although there are better places in the world to scuba dive if you have a passion for this or want to take a beginners scuba course Jamaica still has a lot to offer.

A luxurious catamaran cruise is also a popular holiday pursuit where you can enjoy a little luxury and sip champagne as the sun sets, what could be more romantic?
